Demographic Transition Model
Currently Jamaica is in stage 3 of the DTM. Their birth rate and death rate may be high, but based on the population pyramids of Jamaica through out the decades, the population is getting older. Just like one of the characteristics of stage 3, the population is still growing, just not at a high rate. This is why I think Jamaica is in stage 3 of the Demographic Transition Model.
